Beyond his professional life, Robert is married to Cheryl, his wife of 32 years, and they have two sons, Robert and Connor, and a daughter, Danielle. Their family also includes two dogs, Sandie and Lincoln. Robert and Cheryl share a love for travel and golf, and they actively participate in their church community. Robert also dedicates time to coaching high school softball.
